Sometimes either through trauma, genetics, surgery or non-surgical injectable treatments, facial balance can be lost. Asymmetries, lumps, and under or over correction with either filler or muscle relaxants can be very frustrating and upsetting. The great news is a large majority of undesired facial disharmony can be adjusted, corrected or even reversed.

What are the common reasons for needing non-surgical revision or correction?
Genetic Asymmetry or disharmony caused by trauma or non surgical injectables can leave the face looking unbalanced. Lumpiness or over correction of the lips, cheeks or under the eye area can also be distracting to the eye.

Why is facial balance important?
Experts in the facial aesthetic industry over many years of experience have come up with golden ‘rules’ in regards to desired proportions of the face to ensure harmony and balance is maintained. Sometimes through injectable treatments or trauma this balance can be lost, causing the face to look distracting to the eye. A common example of this is over correction of the upper lip causing a ‘trout pout’. If proportion and balance rules are considered when enhancing the face these undesired effects generally do not occur.

Can non surgical revision be preformed after undesired results from cosmetic facial surgery?
It is possible to improve an area with non surgical treatments after surgery. A common example of this is correcting the bridge of a nose post rhinoplasty. In some instances too much of the bridge of the nose is removed or the balance in the width or tip of the nose is lost. Fillers can often be used to correct this, with no downtime and minimal discomfort.

What can be done to improve symmetry to the face post trauma?
It is quite common to have asymmetry in the face, in fact it is very unusual to find someone who is 100% symmetrical. Sometimes, though after an accident or trauma the face can become very asymmetrical causing distress to many patients. Using non surgical techniques such as fillers and muscle relaxants, balance can be carefully restored to the face with little down time.

How will you fix my facial disharmony?
The first step is to come in for a consultation with one of our specialist staff. From here we can discuss the most appropriate treatment to meet your needs according to your budget and desired result. The treatment may require a combination of reversing, adjusting or correcting the affected area with fillers, muscle relaxants and even laser or skin tightening.
It is important to keep in mind that the treatment may need to be preformed in stages and therefore may require multiple visits to the clinic to achieve your desired result.
